About JustArt Collective
JustArt Collective
JustArt Collective is a dynamic group of artists and curators united by a shared passion for the arts. Originally founded in Hong Kong (2024), the collective is now actively engaged in the UK. Throughout our creative journey, we have recognised the vital role of community within the art world. Our mission is to bring together everyone involved in JustArt projects to form a vibrant new community.
We also organise regular online and offline events, including art critiques, in-person group exhibitions in the UK, and the publication of an art newspaper - JustArt Newspaper Club. Through these initiatives, we aim to create opportunities for collaboration, learning, and engagement within our community.

We encourage open dialogue and the exchange of ideas on a wide range of art-related topics. This includes not only discussions about artistic practices but also the exploration of how to make art more accessible and visible to a broader audience. By fostering these conversations, we aim to inspire fresh perspectives and a deeper appreciation for art among our community and the wider public. Through collaboration and sharing, we hope to cultivate an environment where creativity thrives, and everyone's voice is heard. Join us as we work to redefine the art community and enrich our collective experience.

Esther/Zhilin Xiang (b. 2002) is a multimedia and visual artist whose work explores generational trauma, diasporic community, identity, and intimacy. Their practice examines the interplay between social perception and physical representation, often using space as a metaphor for broader cultural narratives. Drawing inspiration from early-2000s blogs, early internet aesthetics, and low-file digital imagery, their work engages with themes of nostalgia, fragmentation, and memory. Esther/Zhilin works under multiple pseudonyms, adopting distinct identities that allow each project to take on its own voice, form, and emotional register. These shifting personas enable them to explore different media with greater fluidity, blurring the boundaries between self-representation, performance, and narrative. They are currently based in Manchester and London.
