Loz Rose (PsykeArt)

I'm Loz, a Yorkshire based, mixed-media artist working with abstraction, process and materials. I rarely start with a clear plan. Instead, I let the materials lead and respond to what happens as I work, allowing colour, texture and movement to shape each piece.

Before studying Fine Art, I studied Conservation Science in the Lake District, and that still influences the way I work. I use found and second-hand materials wherever I can, partly because sustainability is important to me, but also because I enjoy working with surfaces that already have their own history. They encourage me to experiment and respond, rather than aiming for a perfect outcome.
