Painted from a moment spent waiting at the UTSG shuttle stop beside a campus building, this piece captures the unexpected beauty of indoor light reflecting on wet surfaces during a rainstorm. The soft purple and violet tones, circular highlights, and blurred forms create a dreamlike atmosphere in which the boundary between interior and exterior dissolves. Rain seems to fall both outside and within the space, producing a quiet, almost hallucinatory pause in time.
Trashy Universe
In this work, discarded objects packed inside a trash bag are reimagined as a dense, self-contained cosmos. Bright fragments of packaging, crumpled materials, and everyday debris float against a swirling blue field, forming a miniature universe born from excess. The painting quietly reflects on the relentless accumulation of waste in contemporary life, turning the overlooked contents of a garbage bag into a strange and luminous world of their own.
