'95' is titled after the number inscribed on a 1780 source folio held at the San Diego Museum of Art. The folio itself depicts an image of a man hanging from a tree, and is taken from the Swapna Darshana ("Dream Visions") series. Hand-drawn and digitally collaged, '95' takes this dream vision and tessellates the body under structural repetition until the structure itself marks them—birds appear as an instrument, not exception. The geometric proof holds invariant across both panels; only the moral verdict it delivers inverts. '95' is evidence that a proof, pushed to its limits, does not just arrange death. It demonstrates it.
